Pressurized Filters
This is the next generation of bead style filters and the best tool for Koi ponds. These filters provide biological & mechanical filtration and are ideal for ponds with a heavy fish load. Superior design and media, and less expensive compared to other bead style filters, as the combination of design and media make the use of an air blower unnecessary. The lightweight tubular media is designed for very high flow rates, with low head loss, no channeling, and a very high biofilm surface. The unique media design results in protective surfaces which prevent bacterial loss during backwashing, and the backwash system helps prevent clogging. Clean filter by backwashing and rinsing in just a few minutes - no hand cleaning! One cubic foot of Ultima II media is equal to 750 square feet of surface. Seeded with natural bacteria. May be buried. For best results, use a medium to high pressure pump for operation. 1 year warranty. The manufacturer handles all warranty issues directly with the end user. Flow rates and pond sizes given above are the ratings for the units when used as sterilizers (parasite control). When the units are used as green water clarifiers for algae control, flow rates and pond sizes controlled may be considerably higher.
"Twister" UV's
These modular units allow you to custom fit the sterilizers to any project. Rotating unions give you the flexibility to build the UV in an infinite variety of shapes. An expansion union is included with each unit and each unit comes with its own ballast.
