Matala Biosteps filters are ideal for garden ponds up to 2600 gallons and koi ponds up to 1330 gallons. They have 6 sections for Step-Wise filtration from mechanical to biological. The crossflow design holds a tremendous amount of dirt without plugging while providing 200 sq. ft. of surface area for bacteria growth. Easy cleaning with sloped bottom and bottom drain. Optional 9 or 18 watt UVC.

Filter Media
Matala’s filter sheets remain rigid in the most demanding filtration conditions. Easy to cut, install & clean, this filter material is great for use in ponds & aquariums. Adaptable to almost any configuration in almost any filter, it will hold a tremendous amount of dirt while still allowing a free flow of water without channeling. Due to its rigid nature, it can be wedged in a filter without additional support. It is also slightly buoyant so it won’t sink to the bottom of the filter. Each sheet measures approximately 48” x 39” x 1.5” and weighs 8 to 10 lbs depending on density. Each sheet is 13 sq. ft. One full sheet equals 1.6 cu. ft. or 12 gallons volume. Made of EVA material - nontoxic to environment.

Pond Vacuum
Matala’s Pond Vacuum was designed with koi ponds in mind. It features a strong, 2 horsepower motor with suction lift over 5 feet above water level. The generous 5 gallon capacity and automatic fill and drain cycle make it a great addition to the pond maintenance regime. Also includes 16 foot suction hose, 8 foot discharge hose, 4 suction nozzles and a sludge collection bag. Item # PV-1
